PART OF THE COMMUNITY.

THAT'S WHO WE ARE.

WHERE OUR STORY BEGINS

HUB believes in the transformative power of healthy living because the people behind HUB have lived it.

Jennifer Arends, the founder and CEO, has a passion for fitness and motivating others to be fit–and that was the driving force behind the vision of HUB. Jennifer started out as a runner and added swimming and biking in 2007 when she competed in her first triathlon. She is an endurance athlete who competes in marathons (including Boston, Chicago and New York City), half-marathon and triathlons. She has competed in running races in all distances except Ultras (which is on her bucket list). She has also competed in all triathlon distances. In 2012, Jennifer completed her first Ironman and will be competing in her second Ironman in September 2014. In the fall of 2013, Jennifer was invited to compete in the USA Triathlon Age Group National Championships in Wisconsin in August 2014.

A native of Greenville, Jennifer has a B.A in Psychology and a law degree from Mississippi College School of Law. As a wife and mother of three children, she understands the challenges of finding time to exercise while still taking care of a family and working outside the home. She is excited to be able to provide a place for her community to get fit.

THE RIGHT STUFF. EVEN IN YOUR PANTRY.

OUR NUTRITIONIST IS YOUR NUTRITIONIST.

Elizabeth Wingard has been in the fitness industry for 17 years, and is a Board certified holistic health coach, certified group fitness instructor, marathoner and mom of three girls. She began her career as an elementary school teacher and started teaching fitness classes on nights and weekends. When she had children, she began to educate herself about nutrition and exercise. Since then, she has completed eight marathons.

While working at the YMCA, she helped new runners complete a walk-to-run program and a beginners half marathon program. Once she decided to pursue her passion for helping people with nutrition and lifestyle, she enrolled at The Institute of Integrative Nutrition, the world's largest nutrition school. That education and experience has given her the opportunity to help people live the healthiest lives possible–inside and out.

In addition to teaching group exercise, she is the founder of Healthy Balance For Life, LLC. She counsels clients one-on-one or in small groups, where she helps them achieve health and nutrition goals. She leads seminars, grocery store tours and cooking classes, as well. And, on top of her other certifications, Elizabeth holds separate certifications in cycle, barre pilates, silver sneakers, kettlebells and weight training.
